  • Are your products handmade?
Yes! Every item is designed, crafted, and assembled by students at the University of Maryland. Each product is part of a hands-on learning experience.
  • What happens to unsold items?
We avoid waste at all costs. Unsold items are either redesigned into new products or donated to local nonprofit partners when appropriate.
  • Where do you source your materials from?
We primarily use discarded or donated textiles from local partners, including materials from our collaboration with Under Armour. All products are made using upcycled or repurposed materials.
  • How do I get involved with The Mill?
We’re always looking for passionate students to join our design, marketing, and operations teams. Follow us on Instagram and look out for recruitment announcements each semester.
  • What makes your products sustainable?
We focus on reducing textile waste through repair, repurposing, and zero-waste design. Our products are made to last, with minimal environmental impact.
  • How is The Mill connected to Under Armour?
The Mill partners with Under Armour to access surplus and discarded materials that would otherwise go to waste. This partnership helps us create high-quality, sustainable products while gaining insight into industry operations.
  • Do you ship outside of College Park?
Currently, we offer local pickup on campus and at select events. We are working on expanding our shipping options—stay tuned!
